Hello friends! Here's a recent model session in my studio. Wyatt sat for me in July for a 3-hour pose. I didn't get the painting completed to my satisfaction in person, so I used photo references to make refinements over the next few days. I think it's complete at this point (or almost). The painting will go on the market sometime in 2023.

An early stage of the live painting session, July 8. The panel measures 18x14". Compare the generalized flesh tones in this initial lay-in to the finished painting at top. The predominant nature of the shadow flesh was pink-brown, whereas the lit areas were mostly lighter golds, tans, and pinks. Can you see how I elaborated on those general colors to complete the painting?

Here's a still-life painted last month in another artist's studio. A friend of mine set up the lovely arrangement and invited me to her place to paint. The canvas measures 14x18".

Recently Sold!

Downtown At Dusk was introduced last May during my large exhibition of new work. While it did not sell during the exhibit, it did find a collector last week who saw it in my gallery space at Crossroads Art Center. Very happy this large painting has a new home. The scene depicts my hometown of Richmond, Virginia.
