Study for "Strongman"was painted from life in my studio, and served as a preliminary study for my exhibition piece Strongman. It was invaluable in providing a first-hand account of the model's flesh tones when creating the eventual painting, which required about 150 hours to complete.
The painting was part of my Exhibition of New Work, May 14-June 30, 2022.
